Crafts with Meaning is an award winning Keyan social enterprise based in Nairobi. We manufacture home décor, bags, lifestyle accessories and corporate merchandise in designs that are inspired by our African spirit. We have incorporated artisans in various counties in Kenya and also in Uganda in our production value chain, making our products very unique and also giving these artisans an opportunity to earn consistent income. The company has been in existence for the last 5years and has worked with over 300 artisans to create various products for the local and export markets. We create work and consistent income for artisans who are under conventional employment opportunities and seek to triple the income of all artisans working as our partners by ensuring that they produce quality items and find markets for these products. We also seek to create 1000 sustainable jobs in the artisan sector in the next 5 years. Our business model that cuts across E-commerce, retail outlets and mall showrooms for our customers. We have initiated strategies to export our products in selected countries and currently developing a fulfilment center model for our diaspora clients. We also support local businesses by sourcing our raw materials locally, and also from community groups.
