Participatory Ecology Land Use Management (PELUM) Kenya
Participatory Ecological Land Use Management (PELUM) Kenya is part of the larger PELUM Association which is in 12 African Countries. PELUM Kenya is a national network which currently comprises of 61 Member Organizations working with smallholder farmers and pastoralists. PELUM Kenya’s mission is to promote agroecological principles and practices for improved livelihoods among small scale farmers and pastoralists in Kenya.
Climate change is one of the key challenges affecting the current food system. There is a strong need to transform food production in a more sustainable way as we build the resilience of farmers and produce adequate and nutritious food. PELUM Kenya promotes agroecology to build the resilience of farmers on climate change and enhance food and nutrition security.
