Kenya’s quest to increase commercial activities at the Lamu Port has received a major boost with the completion of a strategic plan for related projects by South Sudan. The neighboring country which is part of the Sh2.5 trillion Lamu Port-Southern Sudan-Ethiopia Transport (Lapsset) corridor has identified 16 projects that include road networks, the design and construction of the Lapsset Corridor Road and power projects, whose implementation is awaiting funding.
