Central farmers sell coffee worth kSh382m at weekly auction
Farmers on Tuesday sold coffee worth Sh382 million in the Nairobi Coffee Exchange, even as growers in several counties continue protesting poor returns. In the sale of 9,732 bags, 2,593 bags of premium grade AA coffee were sold, fetching Sh110 million, while 3,950 bags of AB fetched Sh157 million. About 1,143 bags of grade C coffee worth Sh13 million were sold, 11 bags of grade E worth Sh260,838, while lower grades T and TT sold 368 bags worth Sh5.5 million and 264 bags worth KSh 732,978.
