Kenyan Artist Emmanuel Wandera wins BIC’s Art Master Africa Competition

BIC, the global brand known for its stationery, lighters, and shavers, has announced the winners of its sixth annual Art Master Africa competition, a celebrated ballpoint pen art event that showcases African talent. This year’s competition, centered on the theme of Ubuntu, called on African artists to creatively depict “One Africa,” a concept rooted in unity and collective harmony. Kenyan artist Emmanuel Wandera emerged as the national winner with his captivating artwork, Villagers. Launched in 2017 in South Africa, the competition has expanded to include participants across the region. The winners’ selection highlights both national and regional talent, with three regional champions and six national winners chosen for 2024.
