The #MadeInKenya campaign has received praise from Deputy President H.E. Kithure Kindiki for its crucial role in promoting Kenya's superior manufacturing, creativity, and craftsmanship. Speaking at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) at the Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA) booth, the Deputy President praised the accomplishments of regional producers and acknowledged their dedication to creating top-notch, globally competitive products.
H.E. Kindiki stressed in his speech that a key component of Kenya's economic transition is domestic manufacturing. He emphasized the value of programs like #MadeInKenya in promoting industrial development, generating jobs, and establishing Kenya as a major force in international markets. The Deputy President reaffirmed that supporting domestic businesses is consistent with the government's overarching development plan, which aims to promote self-sufficiency and guarantee that Kenyan goods are acknowledged internationally.
A wide range of stakeholders, including government departments, businesses, foreign recruitment firms, academic institutions, and job seekers, came together at the Jamhuri National Job Fair. An invaluable platform for networking, information exchange, and connecting job seekers with companies and entrepreneurs was produced by this confluence.
With an emphasis on marketing Kenya's distinctive products from textiles to agro-processed goods both domestically and abroad, KEPROBA continues to play a crucial role in furthering the #MadeInKenya movement. Through increasing market accessibility and visibility, KEPROBA guarantees the survival of Kenyan-made products in cutthroat marketplaces, hence augmenting financial prospects for regional manufacturers.
In addition to commemorating Kenya's independence, the Job Fair demonstrated the government's unwavering support for youth employment, economic development, and long-term job creation. It highlighted creative approaches to open doors for all Kenyans, pointing to a promising future propelled by industry, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
