INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE AT THE 30TH EDITION OF UGANDA INTERNATION TRADE FAIR 2024
The Uganda International Trade Fair (UGITF), which is Uganda’s largest trade fair, will kick off on 2nd October 2024. The fair, under the slogan "Celebrating 30 years of Industrial Excellence", will take place from 2nd October 2024 to 10 October 2024 at Lugogo Fair Grounds Kampala, Uganda. The trade fair aims to celebrate as well as showcase Uganda’s economic potential in addition, to business and investment opportunities. The 30th edition seeks to celebrate innovations and industrialization besides offering opportunities for local, regional and international exhibitors to generate new business, enhance existing contacts and open up new markets and sales channels. The event will also offer exhibitors and visitors an interaction opportunity through thematic seminars and B2B meetings, with the aim of doing business and establishing partnerships.
The UGITF organized by Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) has grown exponentially over the years. In the 2023 edition, a total of 1350 exhibitors drawn from 28 countries including Uganda, the region, the continent and globally took part in the trade fair, with the 30th edition expected to have more exhibitors. UMA expects the fair to attract over 350,000 visitors to participate in the trade fair. The 2024 trade fair has already received confirmed participation from local, regional and international participants. The fair will feature a dedicated matchmaking and networking drive to create linkages between participating companies. Extensive advertising for the event is already underway, due to partnership agreements with Uganda’s leading media houses thus, exhibitors are assured of good visibility.
UMA expects a big representation from Kenyan due to close trade ties as envisaged by high Kenyan exports to Uganda, as well as strong bilateral trade agreements and both countries being members of the East African Community and Common Market for East and Southern African. UGITF will offer an opportunity for Kenyan entrepreneurs to showcase their products and engage with consumers. Kenyan exporters participating will have an opportunity to amplify the visibility of their products and services in Uganda and other participating countries/regions. As a result, KEPROBA wishes to invite Kenyan companies to take part in the 30th UGITF and capitalize on the trade platforms established by the two governments as well as the African Continental Free Trade Agreement that envisages intra-African trade.
Participation Profile: The fair is open to participation from all sectors including Manufacturing, Electrical, Chemicals, Petroleum Products, Plastics, Rubber, Packaging, Leather, Tourism, Foods and Beverages, Education Services, Auto Industry among others. UMA invites your company to participate in this year’s UGITF and to secure space early.
