Kenya Selected to Host Dubai Chambers’ Next Frontiers Trade Mission

Kenya has been selected as the destination for the upcoming Next Frontiers Trade Mission, an initiative organized by Dubai Chambers to support its member companies in exploring new markets, establishing business connections and identifying opportunities for trade and investment.

The trade mission is scheduled to take place in Nairobi from 6–8 October 2026 and is expected to bring together between seven and ten Dubai Chambers member companies. Participating businesses will be drawn primarily from the food and beverages, construction and building materials, and energy sectors, creating opportunities for targeted engagement with Kenyan companies and other relevant stakeholders.

The Next Frontiers Trade Mission forms part of Dubai Chambers’ broader efforts to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global business hub by supporting companies seeking to expand into international markets. Through the initiative, participating companies are provided with opportunities to gain market insights, participate in curated business-to-business meetings, and engage in strategic networking aimed at establishing new commercial relationships.

Kenya’s selection provides an opportunity to strengthen business linkages between Kenyan and Dubai-based companies while showcasing the country’s potential as a trade and investment destination. By bringing representatives of selected companies directly into the Kenyan market, the mission will provide a platform for businesses to explore potential partnerships, identify areas of mutual commercial interest and better understand opportunities available within Kenya and the wider region.

The focus on food and beverages, construction and building materials, and energy also presents opportunities for Kenyan businesses operating within these sectors to engage directly with prospective international partners. The mission is expected to facilitate discussions around trade, distribution, investment, partnerships, and other forms of business collaboration.

The visit will particularly emphasize business-to-business engagement, enabling participating Dubai companies to interact with relevant Kenyan enterprises and explore opportunities that could develop into longer-term commercial partnerships. Such engagements provide an avenue for Kenyan companies to build international networks, explore new business relationships and position their products and services before potential partners from Dubai.

News of Kenya’s selection was communicated through diplomatic channels following notification by the Consulate General of the Republic of Kenya in Dubai. The Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA) were subsequently formally notified of the upcoming mission, paving the way for engagement and preparations ahead of the October visit.

The selection of Nairobi as the destination for the Next Frontiers Trade Mission further demonstrates the growing opportunities for strengthening commercial relations between Kenya and Dubai. Beyond the immediate business meetings, the mission provides a platform for building relationships that can support increased trade, investment, and private sector collaboration.

As Kenya continues to pursue greater export growth and diversified international markets, initiatives such as the Next Frontiers Trade Mission provide valuable opportunities to connect Kenyan enterprises with international businesses seeking new markets and partnerships.
