
The Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA) reached out to Mrs. Monicah Mukuhi, an 83-year-old entrepreneur, based at Oloitokitok, in Kajiado County with the aim of providing her with valuable advice on her business. At the Agency, Mrs. Mukuhi was provided with trade advisory services for her jewellery business, market trends for her kind of products, packaging and branding, accessing markets through various websites, among other services. The Agency will also include her in the Agency’s trade alert listing which is an avenue used by KEPROBA for continuous dissemination of market information and upcoming activities including capacity building, product development and adaptation, market linkages, market opportunities, etc. The entrepreneur was also linked to various Government institutions that support SMEs.
Mrs. Monicah Mukuhi is a great example of how KEPROBA’s capacity-building and product development initiatives impact on the livelihoods of the beneficiaries across all ages. KEPROBA is keen on engaging the youth and women from across the country through capacity-building programmes that will not only help in creating sustainable employment opportunities but also create a positive impact on their economic well-being.
