The Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency has partnered with the Playground of Life Jellyfish Pavilion to network with Kenyan artistes and to brainstorm on the best Kenyan sounds to be played at the Expo 2025.
The Jellyfish Pavilion is a Thematic Project “Signature Pavilion”, that will showcase the best of people, art, culture and heritage. We are happy to collaborate with likeminded pavilions represented by various countries, Government organizations and private sector that will be at the Expo Japan come 2025.
Kenya aims to participate in one of the three subthemes, Empowering lives, by showcasing Kenya’s bottom-up transformation agenda which revolves around the pillars of value addition in manufactured products, agriculture transformation, healthcare, digital superhighway and the creative economy which includes Kenya’s rich culture, heritage and creative arts industry.
Over the years, Kenya and Japan have collaborated on mutually beneficial projects in a variety of areas. These include a number of infrastructure projects in Kenya, such as the building of the Thika Superhighway and the Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway, healthcare initiatives, especially in the fight against infectious diseases, engaged in trade and investment activities, with Japanese companies investing in a number of Kenyan industries, including manufacturing and technology. Finally, cultural exchange programs like art shows, music festivals, and language classes have helped the two countries' people-to-people diplomacy and cultivated cross-cultural understanding.
Kenya and Japan’s collaboration can be a testament to the strength of the universal language of music. The Expo Japan 2025 provides a platform for us to showcase the beauty and diversity of our musical talents and, in the process, strengthening the bonds between our two nations.
