
KEPROBA in partnership with Ministry of Foreign Affairs participated in the Kenya-Germany Business Forum. The event was organised by Africa Business Association and SAFRI- Subsaharan Africa Initiative, the Association of German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the German Mittelstand Association. The event provided a platform for the Kenyan private sector to meet, network and initiate business conversations with their counterparts in Germany. The following sectors were represented during the business forum: Trade, Renewable Energy, ICT, Health, and Engineering among others. H.E Dr. William Ruto graced the event and urged Germans to invest in Kenya.
Kenya is Germany’s most important economic partner in the East African region. Kenya hosts over 120 German companies that employ over 5000 Kenyans.
Kenya is also an important partner of German development cooperation with priority given in the areas of agriculture, youth development, anticorruption, renewable energy, refugees and sustainable development. Germany and Kenya’s cultural collaborations are also conducted in the forms of film, education and scholarships that enable Kenyan students to study in German hence knowledge and cultural transfers.
