The Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency undertakes Exporter Readiness Awareness for the business community.
The Exporter Readiness Program aims to augment the Agency’s efforts to serve and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises by equipping them with information and relevant skills to facilitate them to navigate the ever-changing international trade arena with ease.
The Program aims to be a one-stop shop for all matters relating to enhancing the capacity of target groups and will help to inculcate an exporting culture among the business community.
The Exporter Readiness Awareness (ERA) provides high-quality export trade and branding training to enable the business community to venture into international trade.
Objective
The objective of the Exporter Readiness Program is to provide high-quality, globally competitive export trade training to enable the business community venture into international trade.
Scope
The Exporter Readiness Program aims to augment the Agency’s efforts to serve and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises by equipping them with information and relevant skills to facilitate them to navigate the ever-changing international trade arena with ease. Training are identified through the Agency’s initiatives or through requests from stakeholders.

ERA Training Mode of Delivery
The Export Readiness Awareness provides a platform for co-ordinated approach to export capacity building by KEPROBA and Trade Support Institutions. The aim is to serve and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises by equipping them with information and relevant skills to facilitate them to navigate the ever-changing international trade arena with ease. The training provides timely and relevant export trade courses.
ERA is delivered through the following platforms:

Potential Exporters |
These exporters have products that meet the preliminary export requirements and have potential for export, but they have never exported before. |
New Exporters |
These exporters have products that meet the basic export requirements, have the capacity to produce more products for exports and have exported at least once in the last two years. |
Existing Exporters |
These exporters have products that meet export requirements and have the capacity to produce more. These exporters are well established and versatile (easily adapting to emerging trends). |
Mature Exporters |
These exporters have local processing plants and robust structures (both production, supply and marketing value chain). These exporters have a high-diverse range of products. |
Expected Outcomes
The anticipated outcome of the Program is to enhance the competitiveness of our enterprises by equipping them with information/knowledge and skills to facilitate them to trade internationally / navigate the ever-changing international arena with ease.

- Better skilled entrepreneurs able to negotiate international offers and bid successfully for opportunities.
- Enhanced ability to overcome real and perceived threats/obstacles to exporting.
