The Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA) is pleased to inform Kenyan coffee exporters of an exciting opportunity to expand their market reach. The EU-EAC Market Access Upgrade Programme (MARKUP II) is inviting eligible coffee exporters to apply for support to participate in the upcoming EU Coffee Buyer Tour.
The EU-EAC Market Access Upgrade Programme (MARKUP II) is a regional initiative funded by the European Union to promote economic growth across East Africa. The programme focuses on improving livelihoods, creating jobs and enhancing the export competitiveness of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in key sectors, including coffee, leather and packaging.
By addressing supply-side constraints and providing targeted support in areas such as quality standards, certification and branding, MARKUP II helps local businesses overcome market access barriers and successfully trade in European and global markets.
This specialised trade initiative is designed to:
Strengthen Business Linkages: Connect Kenyan coffee exporters directly with key European buyers.
Showcase Premium Products: Provide a dedicated platform for exporters to present the quality and unique attributes of Kenyan coffee to an international audience.
Understand Market Dynamics: Enable exporters to gain firsthand insights into European market-entry requirements, standards and consumer preferences.
Foster Partnerships: Create opportunities to establish sustainable, long-term trade partnerships within the European Union.
Eligible Kenyan coffee exporters are encouraged to submit their applications through the following link:
