Rendile

• The Rendille descend from the somali Cushitic Group. They settled in the Marsabit desert as they believe it is their promised land
• The Rendille are skilled craftsmen and make many different decoration or ornaments.
• Their natural appearance intrigued anthropologist as they posessfierce blue eyes, which is a physical peculiarity as well as reddish-brown complexion, with soft, straight hair and narrow facial features.
• Rendile warriors often wear proudly a visor-like hairstyle, dyed with red ochre soil. the women wear several kilos beads. They are known for their vibrant red fabrics and several adornments from their hair to neckpieces

Nubi

• The Nubi come from Sudanese tribes that have intermarried local Kenyan and Ugandan women
• The Nubi people are majorly Muslims and follow Islamic beliefs and education system
• The Nubi today in Kenya are mostly settled in urban areas such as slums as theywere originally reserve troops in 17 garrisons aiding the British imperial campaign
• Nubian identity and culture during the rooted in shared values, mannerisms and customs. For ExampleWhenever a young person greets their elders, he clasps their hands, placing them on the chin and then their forehead, signifying respect.
• Kisira, a meal made from maize and wheat flour combined with fermented simsim paste, is still one of their famous cuisines
• Nubian women still practice crafts such as basketry, making mats and food covers, birish, from papyrus reeds. They make red, yellow, green and black-patterned mats called fendezia.

Taita

• The Taita people are settled in the taita hills which were the focus for religious activity and there are huge Rocks (Magamba), and caves known as 'Mbanga' that were considered very sacred places for the dead and for worship. Many groups still preserve their former sacred sites intact, where the skulls of the deceased are placed as reminders of the presence of the ancestors, and of the obligation owed by the living to the dead.
• Traditionally, the Taita people liked expressing themselves in music. They had many interesting forms of traditional dances, the most fascinating of which was the spirit-possession dances called Mwazindika.
• Their popular traditional cuisines include Kimanga (a mashed combination of beans plus either cassava, sweet potatoes, pumpkins, or bananas accompanied by mbangara, a Taita traditional drink made out of sugarcane, corn or cassava
