Njemps

The primary religion practiced by the Njemps is ethnic religion. Ethnic religion is deeply rooted in a people's ethnic identity.
The Njemps primarily consume Fish which is Taboo among the other communities bordering them in Lake Baringo
Folklores about their origin is popular among the Njemps and is passed on from generation to generation
They make clothes and ornaments from leather, beads, brass and copper among other items. Different clothes and ornaments are worn to indicate status among members of the community.
A popular musical instrument among the Njemps is a musical flute (masilingi) made from iron obtained from used water pipes. It is played as a form of leisure.
