Luhya

• The Luhya comprise several subgroups with different but mutually understood linguistic dialects. Some of these subgroups are Ababukusu, Abanyala, Abatachoni, Avalogoli, Abamarama, Abaidakho, Abaisukha, Abatiriki, Abakisa, Abamarachi, and Abasamia.
• The Luhya people revers some of their ritualistic practices most especially their initiation ceremonies (the Bukusu) and burial rites.
• Traditional clothing is worn mostly during specific occasions and only by certain people. In cultural dances, performers may put on feathered hats and skirts made of sisal strands.
• Luhya are nationally renowned for their energetic and vibrant isukuti dance accompanied by music instruments such as drums, jingles, flutes, and accordions

Somali

• The Somali people are mostly Muslim and adhere to most of Islam rituals and way of life. Somali culture is also very Arab- influenced
• Most of the somali community in Kenya are known for their pastoral way of life and in modern days they have ventured more into businesses
• The Somali were traditionally known for their male craft specialists, who made attractive artefacts and objects useful for their daily lives.
•  Somali men typically wear the macawis (ma'awiis), which is a sarong-like garment worn around the waist and a large cloth wrapped around the upper part of their body. On their heads, they often wrap a colorful turban. Somali women typically wear baatiwhich isa long dress-like wear that is made out of polyester. They often wear headwrap or Hijabs in compliance with their Islamic beliefs.
• Additionally, henna is an important part of Somali adornment. It is worn by Somali women on their hands, arms, feet and neck during weddings, Eid, Ramadan, and other festive occasions.
• Somali weddings are filled with Pomp and colour with the bride being adorned in gold
• Somali cuisine is popular in Kenya, particularly the Anjeera and Halwa

Mbeere

• They are known for their basket (ciondo) and rope (mikanda) making
• Oneof their notable musical instruments was a long and narrow cylindrical drum was made of wood cut from Mukaau tree using an axe. The top is covered with goat skin.
• Mbeere arts center on the verbal arts, song, and dance. Riddles, folktales, and proverbs are popular forms of creative expression
